Icelandic PM becomes world's first head of state in gay marriage
Johanna Sigurdardottir, Iceland's prime minister, married her long-time partner on Sunday after new laws legalising gay marriage were passed. Sigurdardottir and Jonina Leosdottir had already been in a civil union for some time, though this was not considered a formal marriage under the previous legislation.
