Taxi sign language gets stamp(s) of approval from academia

A set of postage stamps depicting taxi hand signals has been launched by the SA Post Office. The project was the brainchild of Susan Woolf, who is currently doing her PhD in Anthropology at Wits. Woolf's thesis is called 'Taxi hand signs and social spaces' and she created the stamp series in collaboration with local artists. Read more: Design Indaba website
