NEWSFLASH: End of the road for PBMR

A voluntary severance scheme for staff at the Pebble Bed Modular Reactor has been finalised today, with the majority of the employees expected to take voluntary retrenchment. Trade union Solidarity has lamented the end of the PBMR scheme and the resultant loss of nuclear expertise in South Africa.
